A fast-growing company in the e-commerce space is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to lead and support its accounting operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to support business initiatives and ensure accurate financial data.
- Participate in system and process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support year-end audit processes and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA license or CPA exam progress (actively pursuing).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems.
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
- Background in e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, or subscription-based businesses.
- CMA certification or MBA degree.
